Artist's Statement

"Working with an unexpected combination of materials, I create jewelry that starts with my own graphic art that I print on thin paper,  meticulously laminate to various sizes of small tubing, and then assemble with a variety of materials including polymer clay, glass, metal, and rubber. Transforming non-precious, sometimes industrial materials into colorful, richly patterned art jewelry is an ongoing exploration. Because of the nature of the process, no two pieces are exactly alike in every detail, but will be very similar."

"Originally trained as a graphic artist, I've been a full-time jewelry artist for over 20 years. In 1988 I made my escape from the city and moved to the woods of southwest Washington state where I live with my husband and share my barn studio with our cat and an elusive squirrel."

CARE: The bracelets are made to be as durable as possible considering one element is paper. They will last for years if worn GENTLY. Multiple layers of a water resistant coating make them water resistant but immersion in water should be avoided.
