Artist's Statement, 'Forest Home' - 'Portals,' Winter Show & Silent Auction, 2011:

“The joy of nature dances in the wild places of Oregon as waves of light and energy.  When walking a trail anytime or in the river on a hot day, I will come across exquisite scenes that catch my breath and reverberate perfection. That is what I want to share with the viewer.”

“It has been said that water, in the form of creeks and rivers are to the earth as arteries are to our bodies.  These arterial systems are purified through rain and snow sifting through fallen timber, brush, grasses and moss as it makes its way to the ocean. Standing nears these living waterways singing with life, we can absorb the harmony, perfection and purity of the natural world.”

A finished painting contains many layers of contrasting colors that create depth and movement.  Dale is a full time artist, working from her studio in Corvallis.
