Artist's Statement:

Mathematics and art have played a central role in my life since middle school.  I thrived in the artist community while receiving an Honors Baccalaureate degree combining math and art at Eastern Oregon University.  Graduation came and I moved to Corvallis.  I lost my artful way in the corporate world. 

This piece celebrates my exit from corporate and entrance into full time self employment.  As a celebration of my new life which will include art once again, I combed through all my hidden treasures.  Fused glass, found objects, silver wire from the jewelry supply box, a lava rock commemorating an adventure.

The logic of assembly.  The systematic method of refining creative processes.  Math and art intersect in many ways and help us describe nature.  ONE celebrates a new beginning filled with logic and creativity.
