Carol Freya Soth — mixed

Carol uses an eclectic mix of handmade papers, found objects, silkscreen printing and collage to explore various mythic realms.  She has been a storyteller, environmental educator, gypsy caravan traveler, farmer, librarian and card reader among other things.

Biography:

Carol’s art work includes shrine making, handmade cards, collages,  artist books and assemblages. She has worked with Mayan paper makers in Chiapas; leads  Myth-Informed Art  workshops, Soulful Collage  workshops and Personal Shrine Making  workshops. Her work has been shown in Santa Fe,  Patagonia, Mendocino,  Sequim and Corvallis.  She spent from January 2009 to May 2010  as an artist in residence at the Mendocino Art Center. Most recently she has been doing artist in the schools residencies and her workshops around the northwest .Her gypsy caravan waits patiently in her backyard for their next adventure.
